2 huevos grandes
1 lata (12 fl. oz.) de leche evaporada NESTLÉ CARNATION Evaporated Milk
2 cucharadas de azúcar granulada
2 cucharaditas de extracto de ron*
1/2 cucharadita de canela en polvo
1/4 cucharadita de nuez moscada en polvo
8 rebanadas firmes (1/2 pulgada de grosor) de pan del día anterior, uso
dividido
aceite en aerosol
azúcar en polvo
sirope de arce (opcional)

BATE los huevos, la leche evaporada, el azúcar, el extracto de ron, la
canela y la nuez moscada en una fuente llana hasta mezclarlos bien. Pon 4
rebanadas del pan en la mezcla de huevo, volteándolas para humedecerlas
parejamente por ambos lados.
ENTRETANTO, rocía una sartén grande con aceite en aerosol; caliéntala a
fuego medio. Coloca las rebanadas de pan que preparaste en una sola capa en la
sartén. Cocínalas 3 minutos por lado o hasta que estén doradas. Sácalas y
ponlas en un platón. Repite esto con las rebanadas de pan restantes, rociando
el sartén con aceite en aerosol, si fuera necesario. Espolvoréalas con el
azúcar en polvo. Sírvelas inmediatamente con el sirope

8 firm slices (1/2 inch thick) of bread from the previous day, divided use

BEAT eggs, evaporated milk, sugar, rum extract, cinnamon and nutmeg in a shallow dish until well blended. Put 4 slices of the bread in the egg mixture, turning them to moisten them evenly on both sides.
MEANWHILE, spray a large skillet with cooking spray; heat it over medium heat. Place the slices of bread that you prepared in a single layer in the pan. Cook 3 minutes per side or until golden brown. Take them out and put them on a platter. Repeat this with the remaining slices of bread, spraying the pan with cooking spray, if necessary.Sprinkle with sugar
